I have become a big ZIT!

32 weeks! (Measuring at 39 weeks:)

There ya have it, I'm HUGE!! The best part is that people have no problem telling me how big I am. This weekend I was teaching scrapbook classes at the scrapbook expo in Sandy and here are some of the comments I got. "Tell me there are more than two in there," (and this was coming from a pregnant women) "Ya my sister is 31 weeks too and she isn't near as big as you," and the winner is "WOW, when ya going to get that baby out, tell me it's soon?" I know it's enormous but really I would rather you just keep your comments to yourself please. All people can see is "The Belly." I call it my big white head, one that needs to be popped immediately. Ya know when you have a big zit and people can't see past it; my belly has transformed into "The Zit". You just want to shake them and say,” I’m up here, ya know a person is attached to that belly your staring at." But I have a confession I LOVE to watch people. Of course I don't do it so that they know I'm doing it but still I am guilty of the same transgression. When you’re the person that is being stared at it's entertaining to watch there eyes as they grow in wonder. I'll just tell you now if you staring at my belly I can assure you I'm staring right back at ya.

Dane Hezekiah Smith (32 weeks)

Now for the babies, THEY ARE GREAT!! I had an ultra sound today and they are growing perfectly. My little London is 4.7 pounds and my little Dane is 4.6 pounds. The Dr. said they were jumbo babies and that I am the poster child for a twin pregnancy. Such a silly thing to be proud of but it made me feel like I was doing something right, I loved it. Also they both had a lot of hair, Dane especially. The Dr kept talking about how much hair he had. If you look at the picture of Dane really close you can see that he has a big nose, and huge lips; I think I may get a little Riley this time, maybe he will come out with tons of red hair. I don't have any pics of London because she is so far down and all the way into my back, we couldn't even get a glimpse of her face. Both babies were HEAD DOWN still and that is what I wanted more than anything, ya for London and Dane! Today was so much fun seeing them. It made all the stupid comments and long stares loose all meaning; I have healthy, cute, big babies and that is all that matters!

The Dr. won't let me go past 38 weeks so if I don't go before then than I only have 6 weeks to go. I am hoping that they come around 37 weeks and in that case I only have 5 weeks to go. I just don't know if my belly can take this much longer, I think one day I will bed over and it will just pop. I guess they are in charge of all that so I will be really nice to them and try not complain about how uncomfortable they are making me. Wish us luck!

The Twins Have Names!!!

We have names for our little people and we are so excited to share them. Tell us what you think. Our little girl is going to be LONDON KAY SMITH. Our little man is going to be DANE HEZEKIAH SMITH. Kay is my middle name and Hezekiah was my great great grandpa who helped settle Logan, he was an incredible man and Dane is lucky to share his name. Now London just gets my name but she will have to make the best of it. So what do ya think, feedback is great!

Officially White Trash!

This morning I woke up and was telling Riley I needed to shower before we visited his family. He reminded me that we had a toilet in our shower. We are tiling our bathroom floors; this is the reason for the toilet situation. Riley then told me that the other shower doesn’t have a toilet in it and that would probably be more comfortable. I was laying there contemplating the situation thinking “Am I, Lindsey Thatcher Smith, too good to shower with a toilet?” I started to recall life’s events that had led me to this point, such as; peeing my pants in public on numerous occasion, tripping and falling in front of whoever get the pleasure of witnessing such a graceful event, spilling things on myself no matter how nice my shirt is, and snorting without any guile…… nope I’m not too good to shower with a toilet. In fact I LOVED IT!!!! When you hit about 2 tons it’s nice to sit on your butt and shower, that’s all there is to it. Gandhi himself couldn’t convince me otherwise. Every person should try this adventure at least once in their precious lifetime. So if you ever get the prestigious chance to shower with a toilet do not put your nose in the air, seize the day.

That sounds REALLY bad!

Jack is trying to say "I wack you." Yet it comes accross as somthing much worse and Riley and I can't stop laughing. I know we are so bad but it's just too funny. And as Lindy would say "You don't mean that."

BIG BOY BED!!!

I took the plunge and decided that it was time to put Jack in a twin bed, really I have no choice. I was so scared that it was going to be a huge deal and that he would hate it but it has been wonderful. We talked to Jack about it for two day and told him how cool it was that he would be a big boy like his cousins Kaden and Griffin and Jaxon. Then we all went to Wal Mart and he picked out his very own sheets. Really he didn’t care much but the bigger the deal we made we figured the better. Then we all went home and as a family put his room together. It took a few hours because I had to clean but we had fun doing it. We did the exact same routine as we did before and said goodnight. He was happy to go to sleep and didn’t get out of bed once. We have been doing this for 3 days and he has been an angel. He has never gotten out of bed at night, I don’t know why but he totally gets it. The first day his nap time was great and he didn’t get out of bed once. Yesterday and today we had to keep putting him back in bed but eventually he stays and takes his nap. I am so relieved that he LOVES his big boy bed, I hope it stays this way. He has only fallen out of bed twice but we put up a rail and it has helped a ton. YAH FOR JACK!!!!

MONSTERS, REALLY?

So I have a short story I have to tell you. Today we were all playing and laughing on the ground when Riley and I started to argue over some dumb thing and Jack got a really scared look on his face. Both Riley and I noticed it so we asked him what was wrong. He pointed to the stairs and said “Monsters mommy.” We told him that there weren’t any monsters but he wasn’t convinced so Riley and him went downstairs and shot them with their fake guns. All I have to say is that children are so close to the spirit and today when he got that scared look on his face I felt awful that I had invited evil spirits into my home. No more monsters in my home, at least I will try a little harder. I mean who wants to scare a cute face like this?
