Listen! DON'T SAY YOU WERE'NT WARNED!!

This flipped a switch in my brain and then the very last sentence touched my heart then drove me to tears.

This is Ronald Reagen speaking and warning us.

I Pray I will NEVER tell stories to my children and grandchildren that have anything to do with how America once was.

IT'S A...................

Can you imagine if we were having another baby, not such a good idea but I guess that having GALLSTONES isn't such a good idea either. I mean who under the age of 60 gets Gallstones, that would be ME!

So it looks like I will be going under the knife on Monday the 31st. I thought being in the hospital for a month would have been enough for the year but look who was way off base. One more hospital say won't kill, at least I hope not;)

But I will pull a Pollyanna look at the bright side because there is always a bright side right. 1st I won't be in the most excruciating pain that I have ever been in again because the gallstones will be gone, that is a definite plus. 2nd we have already met our Out Of Pocket Deductible so this surgery will be free, that is also a major PLUS. SO if you would keep my pathetic little self in your prayers that would be great because I am a little scared, I have never been put totally out.

Hopefully I will not be getting any more ultra sounds for any reason for a few years at least, lol;) Wish me luck:)

Let's Celebrate Womenhood!

Let’s celebrate womanhood, now add some sarcasm and say that again. Now I know that it’s a wonderful thing to be a woman and it’s such a blessing to bear children but can we be REAL for a minuet, it’s a rough road. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my kids, they are SOOOO delicious BUT it's not always a picnic.

First you get pregnant and you have no idea what is happening to ya. Your crying one minuet, screaming profanity the next and your husband is looking at you like your from Mars; well I guess Venus….lol.

Then your body decides that you no longer have a right to any decision making or governing there and it distorts into a shape you never dreamed imaginable. Before you were Prego you would say silly things like, “Look how cute the pregnant girl is honey.” Now that it’s you in the pregnant body it’s not lookin so good and he keeps reminding you of your foolish comments such as the one just mentioned.

Then your bladder no longer listens to your brain and it has a mind, personality and agenda of it’s own. Believe me I am an expert on this one! Then one glorious day your water breaks, or it’s broken for you but all the same the time has come.

The waiting has finely paid off and you bring your little bundle of joy home. If you’re anything like me you think, “Really this is what I was waiting for? This is what it’s all about? Nobody told me it was going to be this hard!" If they did I was too stubborn to listen. After a few months you decide that it was well worth all the hassle and what “They” say is true, you can’t imagine life without that little person or people;)

BUT I believe that you deserve a BREAK!!!!! I believe that you deserve at least 12 hours to yourself, without any interruption. I may be wrong, it wouldn’t be a first but of course I think I'm right:) You could go shopping for a new outfit, or you could go to the library and rent a book and read under a big tree at the park ALL DAY LONG, (of course you would need to bring some goodies, everyone needs a few treats) doesn't that sound glorious! These are just a few options but in the end the idea is still the same. You deserve something, you deserve a little time to yourself.

Now I know how good you are at playing the “GUILT” game but just give it up. It just may feel good to feel good and not feel guilt about it, lol.

This is my grand idea for all of you wonderful women take it or leave it but I think that after a few hours to yourself you may come home and rediscover your sweet, delicious, unbelievably adorable children:)

Bear Lake 2009

Last weekend we went to Bear Lake with Riley's family and we had a blast!! Here are a few pics of out little vacation.

The first day we got there Riley and I went to Lake Bloomington. It was wonderful to have a few min. to just the two of us. When the lady took our picture she said, "This could be your engagement picture." We laughed and told her that we had 3 children. The look on her face was priceless. Then we told her that we had twins 4 months ago and she really just about lost it.

You may wonder what they are doing wearing those ridicules hats but if you knew Terri Smith you would already know:) The second day we were there we had a scavenger hunt and we had to wear our special family hats. LOVE HER!! Ours were horses because we call my house the farm.

Isn't he cute!

Too bad you can't see their faces. The twins look like their so board:)

Cute family!

Look how cute Karly is. After sweat, blood and tears we were all able to look so fashionable in our new flip lops. Thanks Kar, your the best.

For months before we went Terri collected beads and everything you would need to make watch bands. So all us girls sat around and talked, laugh, stuffed our faces and made watch bands. Thanks Terri, it was so much fun! These are the 4 that I made.

This one is my favorite:)

Our little vacation was so much fun. The babies were hard at times because they wouldn't nap during the day but other than that it was great. Can't wait till next time!

Jack's a BIG BOY now!!!

The time has come that Mr. Jack Smith has decided that he is going to be a BIG BOY and do poo's in the potty. I"M FREE:)!!!!!! Well not really but one down and two to go, I'll take it, lol. One day Jack said, "Mom my diapers slow me down, underwear's make me fast!" That was the first sign that he was really serious about pooping in the potty. Then a friend of mine said that when she put her boy in underwear she told him that he shouldn't pee or poop on the Disney character because it would hurt his feeling, of course I used it and that helped too. The best thing we did was buy him a MONSTER TRUCK, (if you could hear him say it he would make is voice really deep and rough, and he says it slow.) When he did poops in the potty he got to play with it, when he pooped in his "underwear's", (that's what he calls them) we took it away. That was the real turning point. 2 and 1/2 and potty trained, SO HAPPY!!!

Jack is quite the sweet little thing and he has a lot to say and he has a lot on his mind. Today when we were driving he said, "Mom I want to go to China." I didn't know what to say, we had never talked about China, i had no idea he even knew it was a place. I said, "Why, what's in China?" He said, "The Moon, and horses. Ya know it's way far away." I started laughing and he looked at me like I was the idiot, that's my boy:)

When I was taking this picture he said, "Ok dad it's your turn, you get pictures with your underwear's now." Where does he come up with this stuff?
We are so lucky to have this guy in our home and in our family. We LOVE him so much and don't know what we would do without him.
Ladies man, don't they make a cute couple.
A few picture of the twins. 3 1/2 months old.

This is her Gorden B. Hinkley look, lol. Look at that lower lip:)
