The Split

My 1st year of college I gained a "bit" of weight. MaRea will tell you that when she was sent pics of me on her mission she said allowed, "What the heck happened to her, wow she's FAT." It's ok you can laugh;) I'm ok with that because it was true. I gained more than the freshman 15, it was more like the freshman 20:) Well Because I became a fat little piggy I had a few pair of pants that didn't quite agree with the drastic changes. I split one pair when I was playing volleyball with a BIG group of friends, another pair when I fell down a flight of stairs, and one more pair.......well we won't really need to talk about that one, a bit too embarrassing:) Let's just say I know all about splitting a pair of pants, I'm almost comfortable with it...........but not quite.

Remember when I peed my pants when we were at Riley's families house (go read, "Did I Just Pee My Pant's" post), well this was almost as good as that.

The 1st mistake I made that day was choosing to wear a pair of shorts that I OBVIOUSLY couldn't quite fit into yet. Then came the second mistake. We were all in the kitchen when I started to get the twins ready for a nap. I went over to pick Dane up and that's when "The Split" happened. I stood up and turned around and announced my tragedy, "I think I just split my pants (just to be clear, I didn't think I KNEW)..............I just split my pants." Riley's dad quickly turned his head in embarrassment, Klair and Karlie started laughing their heads off, and Dane was totally oblivious to what had just happened. Klair made her way over to asses the damage, this only induced more laughter. I guess that I should just count myself lucky that I wasn't wearing my regular Saturday Thong, thank heavens:)

Sweet Terri led me upstair to loan me a pair of her britches. I must say I was HOTTTT in those britches, everyone was so jealous of me. Let's just say I looked a little like MC HAMMER. I would have worn those britches all night (so comfy) but it was a good excuse to get out of the house and go shopping, and YES I wore my MC Hammer pants, Terri insisted. At Target I got a few stares but it just added to the fabulousness of the experience:)

So if you ever split your britches because you've gotten fat or because you haven't gotten skinny enough just remember that it could be worse, you could look like that guy:)

The Husband Store

The Husband Store

A brand new store has just opened in New York City that sells Husbands.
When women go to choose a husband, they have to follow the instructions
at the entrance:

"You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are 6 floors and the value of the products increase as you ascend the flights. You may choose any item from a particular floor or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you CANNOT go back down except to exit the building!"

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband.

The 1st floor sign reads: Floor 1 - These men have jobs.

The 2nd floor sign reads: Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.

The 3rd floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids and are extremely good looking.

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the 4th floor and The sign reads: Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help with Housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!" Still, she goes to the 5th floor and The sign reads: Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, help with Housework and Have A Strong Romantic Streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the 6th floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on
this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible
to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opens a New Wives store
just across the street.

The 1st floor has wives who love sex.

The 2nd floor has wives who love sex and have money.

The 3rd through 6th floors have never been visited.

I think Us as wives expect a little too much:)

Jacks 1st Ski Trip/Twins Update

Jack got on his 1st pair of skis last weekend and it was so CUTE!! Riley was such a proud daddy. Riley took Jack around his old stomping ground and showed him pictures that Beaver has of Riley doing tricks. Can't wait to take him next year and do it again!! Jack loved it and now talks about skiing all the time. Just a chip off the old block.
Notice that they are both wearing RED pants:)
Kaden was such a GOOD skier!

London and Dane are getting so big. They turn ONE next month. They are both crawling and pulling themselves up on everything. They are moving up the stairs, not safely but still attempting. Dane has 4 teeth, two on bottom and two on top (Center and one to the right of the center tooth, funny). London only has her bottom two still. When it comes time to eat they see me coming and start racing towards me, London usually wins;) Dane is a laid back little guy, he just roams around the house exploring every nook and cranny. London likes to be held and snuggled but will also roam if she's in the mood. Dane will smile at anything that moves, ANYTHING:) London has got a good little stink eye but she also has a very sweet little smile with YUMMY dimples. I just love these two little people, they are so different but also VERY good little babies. Jack is the best big brother. I will catch him putting both hands on their cheeks and saying, "Your just so cute!" I wonder where he learned that, lol:) I just love these little mutts and I LOVE this little family of mine. Some days I want to pull my hair out but for the most part I couldn't be happier:)

I love to get these two in the tub together, they always make me laugh. They crawl all over each other without any regard for the other. They both LOVE the water!

This is my most FAVORITE picture ever! This picture is worth a million words.

Miss London right before bed waiting for daddy to finish making her bottle.
This was the fort that Daddy and JAck built together. Jack wanted to make sure that everyone got inside together. This was the best that we could do:)
Every time I do the dishes this is what I get to see, what a spectacular view.

"When I'm a man"

Tonight on our way home from Logan we stopped at Mike and Terri's house. Jack wasn't feeling good so grandma was holding and snuggling him. Riley was sitting next to them and caught this SWEET thing he said.

Jack: "Ya and when I'm a man I will hold you grandma. But you won't be a baby."

At this point Grandma Terri had tears in her eyes and I was on my way as well. It was very, very sweet. I love that Jack LOVES his grandma and Grandpa so much. I know that they would do just about anything for that little guy and one day I think he may just hold Grandma Terri because I think he would do just about anything for her. I think their relationship will be one that he will always treasure.

I WANT ONE!!!

A friend of mine asked if I would help her out and watch a Rainbow Vacuum Presentation for her and of course I said I would. Before she came I made it very clear that I was just helping her out and I didn't want ANY vacuum. I just got a new Dyson and was pretty happy with it. So she came over and gave the presentation and guess what, I WANT ONE!!!!! I am quite POSITIVE that it is the best vacuum that there is out there. I'm very cheep and so it Riley BUT we can still get one if we can schedule just 10 appointments. I know this sounds SO HOKEY but I promise that after 5 years of doing door to door sales myself I know that this is a GOOD THING. So here is me asking you a FAVORE, would any of you be willing to listen to the presentation? PLEASE!!!!! I personally HATE it when people ask me to do these kind of things so I know how annoying this is but this one was kinda fun, it's different. I really enjoyed the short presentation and I think you would to. I know there has to be at least ten of you out there that would be willing to listen;) THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!! This guy goes all the way out to Logan too so that's not a problem.

My Experience

Yesterday I had an experience that I want to remember. It's one that I have learned a lot from and maybe some of you can learn from my mistakes.

I was at Costco eating some lunch with my kids. We were in line buying our food when a lady and her son came and stood in the line next to ours. I looked at her and then her son and then quickly looked away. When I looked at her son I saw that he had massive growths on his head, one on each side. They were so big that he had a hard time keeping his head held up. I was standing there totally frozen, not making eye contact and wishing that I wasn't in line at that moment. This situation surprised me because I am usually good at just being myself and showing the genuine love that I have for people.

I grabed my food and went and sat down. As I sat there I felt an amount of guilt that I have never really felt before. Here I had 2 perfectly healthy babies and hers had health issues that I can only imagine were incredily overwhelming. As I sat there things only got worst. People would stop at our table and say how beautiful the twins were but would pass her and not say a word. I know that they were just reacting the same as I had but I was wishing that someone could be bigger and better than I and go out of their comfort zone. I was feeling so much pain for her, I wan't them to all stop talking to me and go talk to her and tell her how beautiful her little boy was but nobody did.

Then 2 very sweet old men came up to us and started asking the usual questions; were they twins, how old were they, what their names were. I knew they were only being nice but I wanted them to just go away. Then this old man, (he was like 85 years old) pulled out his wallet and I was thinking "this is weird, maybe he is going to give Jack a dollar and tell him to save his money or something." The next thing I know he pulls out a twenty and hands it to Jack and says "Can you give to your mom and tell her thank you for being such a nice women and a good mom?" At this point I was crying, for a few reasons. 1st because that was so incredibly sweet but mostly because I was feeling so guilty. I wanted to turn around and hand it over to this mom and tell her that everything that man had said was really meant for her.

The old man left and then the mom left as well.

As I drove home I thought of all the things that I could have said or done. I could have just treated her like a fellow mother, I could have just SMILED. But I did nothing, I was the handicapped one. I cried, I cried because I was ashamed of myself, I cried because I felt guilt that my babies were so health, and I cried because I was GLAD that my babies were healthy. I prayed that Heavenly Father would forgive me for my weaknesses and that he would bless that sweet mother with patience for all the handicapped people like myself that there were out there.

I know that God gives each of us our trials because that's what we need. I know that God must really love and trust that mother to have given her such a PERFECT soul. This knowledge is what helped me realize that no matter what I do Heavenly Father loves his children more than any of us could and he would make up for where I am completely lacking.

I'm not one to feel guilty for very long so I'm over it. I figure that the best thing I can do is learn from my mistakes and and do better next time. I'm grateful for this experience and maybe some of you can learn from it as well:)

Little Old Man

Yesterday I surprised Riley at his work. We took the little mutts around his office and showed them of, it was so cute. I sure do Love Treasure Dental and everyone that works there! Anyhoo we went to lunch at Burger King, (what is with Burger King and guys, I swear only men were there.) We were about done and the cutest, sweetest, little old man came up to us and said, "I usually don't speak up but I have been watching you guys this whole time and you have such a beautiful family. I can tell that your just good. Take good care of your family." We said thank you, he smiled and hobbled of to his car. The first thing I thought was, "He obviously doesn't see us when I am totally loosing it." But that sweet old man really made my day. There are so many times when I second guess myself as a mother but I NEVER second guess our family. As a whole I feel like I couldn't be more blessed.

I drove home thanking Heavenly Father for my family and for giving me each and ever soul. Riley is my rock and strength, he couldn't be more perfect for me and who I am. There is no question that God knows each and every one of us and what we need. I truly believe that good choices leads you to greatness and I think I found that in Riley and my sweet little ones.

Thank you little old man for making my day and saying something so nice and wonderful. I will do a better job at saying the things that I am thinking and making others days, saying positive good things never hurt anyone.
