Feeling Used and Abused

Okay. We are sick of the government and what their idiotic decisions on our behalf have come to. After writing congressmen locally and nationally we still don't feel like anythings is being done to protect our country's principles and standards. What can we do? "Nothing," is the only reply we here. So answer these questions. If at least 7 of the 9 represent your feelings and beliefs, then send your picture to wesurroundthem@gmail.com . So, yes or no? Is this who I am? Is this what I believe? Because I believe you and I agree on most of these. We believe these things, and there are more with us than we think!! Hopefully this is a small step to saving our country's freedom. If you think that we are crazy at least wait till you read these statements, cause if you agree with them than you disagree with what is happening congress. This is a "tag" as bloggers call it. So pass it on!!
The Riley Smith Family
1) Yes or no: Do you believe America is a good place, that we've lost our way over the years, that we have done bad things but generally speaking we tried hard. We try to make amends. We have tried to do the right thing. Just like everybody else, we fail from time to time and we have truly lost our way in the last 20 years. But gosh, if you look at America, she's good and our founders were good and our founding documents are good. We've just strayed too far away from them. Yes or no.
2) Yes or no: I believe in God. I may not go to the same church or synagogue or mosque as you, but I believe in God and he is the center of my life, and God does not tell people to behead others or to persecute others that see God in a different way. As long as that god is not telling them to persecute others.
Yes or no.
3) Yes or no: It is my responsibility to try to be better and a more honest person than I was yesterday. Sometimes I fail, I'll make mistakes, but it's my main mission to be better than I was personally than I was yesterday.
4) Yes or no: The family is sacred. I and my spouse are the ultimate authority under God when it comes to my family. I raise my family, and that comes with a grave responsibility. If I fail, I answer to God.
5) Yes or no: If you break the law, you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6) Yes or no: I have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but that is not a guarantee of equal results.
7) Yes or no: I work hard for what I have, and I will share it with others that I choose when I choose, should I choose. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8) It is not un-American for anyone to disagree with my opinion, but my opinion or others' opinions may be anti-American. Anti-American rhetoric would be anything that is destructive to the Constitution and our country as our founders understood it.
9) And the last one is the government works for me. The government answers to me. I do not answer to the government.
Send your photo to wesurroundthem@gmail.com if at least 7 of these statements represent you. And pass it on!!

It's a BOY and a GIRL!!!

Today we were lucky enough to find out that we are having two babies that are growing healthy and strong. They are the same size, which is good and they are both the size of a singleton, (Just one baby at a time) that means that they are quite big. It's a BOY and a GIRL!!!!! We are so excited to get one of each. Both of them were very obvious once they decided that they weren't going to be shy. Our little man was much more open about it than his sister, I think that I already see the modest side of her coming out. We were both so excited because I figured if I was going to bring two of them at once then I should get at least one girl and I guess that Lord agreed. In fact when we found out that we were having twins I turned to the doctor and said, "It's a boy and girl, I just know it." Who knew that a women's intuition really exists, well I am living proof that it does. Sometimes mommy's just know things.

The ultrasound was so much fun because we got to see them again. I think I could sit there all day and just watch the two of them interact. They really do respond to each other, when one moves the other then responds. I guess they really don't have a choice because there is absolutely no room in there for them, poor little buggers. They were so cute though, I can't wait to meet them. We are SOOOOOOOO happy that we have these little ones coming to our home and that they are growing so well, we feel so blessed.

One of these days I will get the guts to show off my HUGE belly, but not today.

If any of you have twins or know someone that has twins I am SO up for advice, bring it on.

No I'm Not Due Next Month!

Every time someone asks me how far along I am I want to lie. I really don't want to tell them the whole story but I don't want them to think I'm a huge monster either. Just today a lady asked how far along I was and when I said 15 weeks she said, "Oh, wow." I mean what do ya say to that, "Oh and by the way I am having two babies so really I'm twice the size as I should be." So what do ya think about a little white lie?
Riley and I are so excited about these little people that are on their way to our home. Jack doesn't really get it but when he wakes up in the morning I ask him what he dreamt about and he will say, "Baby sister, tractor, grandma." Also every time he jumps on me he'll say, "Oh, babies. Sorry mama." I think he's excited too.
I was wondering if anybody has any cream that they used for stretch marks that really helped. I know that it's really all genetics but still a girl can try right.

My Knight in Shining Armor

I had a crush on Riley for so long (like years) and the big bloke never even knew I existed. Finley our junior year he got the idea that I was something special. When we broke up a year later my mom wrote a letter to Riley thanking him for being my night in shining armor. You see my junior year I felt like I was at the bottom of a deep, dark, hole, it was a really hard time in my life. That is when my knight showed up and rescued me. I know it seams crazy that in High School a boy can be exactly what you need but he was. Then when Riley came home from his mission once again he found me at the bottom of that same hopeless hole. Without even knowing it he saved me again, my knight always shows up at the perfect time. Since we have been married most of the time I am just the every day girl and Riley is your every day guy but the second I start to sink my personal night in shining armor shows up. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep, I was feeling like the whole world was on top of my shoulders, (crazy pregnant self). When I told Riley how I was feeling my noble knight returned. He cradled me in his arms and sang a lullaby that we used to sing to Jack when he was fussy, all 3 verses. I am the luckiest women in the world. I simply adore you Riley.

TWINS

Well today we found out that for sure there are only twins in there. Also we are almost sure that they are fraternal twins. I am now excited, still scared but at lest now I can sleep at night. I have decided that the Lords plan is so much bigger than me, his mission for these little babies is more important than the short term. My job is to prepare them for there mission and ya know what I can do that. With the Lords help I can do all things, even this. Thanks for all your support, it really does help so much.

WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?

Well we shared our news that we are expecting number two but we just got even more news. I went to my 1st Dr. appointment and had my first check up. I was having a lot of cramps and I was worried. Dr. Sloane asked me if I wanted to have an ultra sound and I said, "Yeah because I want to make sure that there is only one in there". Then she asked me if I thought I was having more than one and I said "well yeah but probably not, but lets just be sure". Well she first did a vaginal ultra sound and she was quite for way too long. Then she said "um, well, there are two for sure, but there looks like there might be a third, but I'm not sure". At this point I see two little bodies and four little hands waving back at me on the black and white monitor. Both Riley and I were shocked to say the least. I will never forget that moment. I became very emotional and I hate to say it, but it wasn't because I was so happy. I was feeling so overwhelmed and afraid. So then I said, "What did you just say"? I would never guess it of Riley, but he was so genuinely excited, he was glowing. I on the other had was not. Well they continued looking then decided that they should do a ultra sound on my belly. This ultra sound showed only two babies. So I guess the big news and the official tally is: WE ARE EXPECTING TWINS!! Two babies are growing inside of me right now and it is the strangest feeling.

I had the strongest feeling that something was up. Riley and I had talked about it so many times always saying that we knew that we were going to get them some day because they are in both of our families a lot. In fact right before we had the ultra sound Riley said, "What if we have twins or triplets"? I said "Well baby, don't be shocked if that happens today". Dr. Sloane said that all the parents of twins that she has worked with said that they had a feeling that they were expecting more than one baby. I think it's just Gods way of breaking the news to us slowly.

I cried for 2 hours then I felt this overwhelming feeling of peace and I know now that it's all going to be OK. In fact I know that it will be great. I know that it will be one of the hardest things I will ever do but I also know in the long run it will be the most rewarding. I am very grateful for these little babies and now that I know there are two I would feel so lost without one of them.

In the end Dr. Sloane said that she is quite sure that there are only two babies but if one more pops up we shouldn't be too surprised. Well we would be anyways, 3 is just a lot of little ones.

If any of you have twins I would love to hear from you and I would love some advice. We have 7 months, if we are lucky, to get ready but something tells me that no matter what we do we will really never be truly ready.

Tuesday we will find out if they are fraternal of identical.Dr. Sloane thinks they are fraternal but when we find out for sure we will let you know.

Jack's So Excited

Well number 2 is on the way, Jack is finely going to be a big brother. We will be expecting this new member of the family in May. But I'm having those second thoughts now. It sounded like such a good idea but now I'm freaking out a little bit. I mean can you really love number 2 as much as number one? I know you all say that you do but I'm having a hard time believing you, Jack is too cute. Even as nervous as I am we are very excited. Nothing is better than being a mommy and I know it will be wonderful.

I was a little hesitent to share this news so early but there is just no hiding it. I would rather have you know that I was pregnant than wonder if I was just getting really big/fat. My girls are twice the size there were 3 months ago. In fact when I ask Jack were the baby is he usually points to the girls, it's just so hard to tell where the biggest bump is.
