Introducing "SUPER ME CAPES"

Goggles not included;)

I made Jack this "Super Me Cape" and he LOVED it. I thought that his cousins that were around his same age would also love them so I made each of them one for Christmas. My little nieces love it just as much as the little boys have:) Jack LOVES his so much that he wears it to the library, grocery store, Costco, just about everywhere. Everywhere we go people ask me where I got it. I have decided to sell this QUICK and EASY pattern to the "Super Me Cape." Because you are all my friends I was hoping that I could get some FEEDBACK from you. Is this something that you would make yourself or would you rather just buy it already made? Let me know what you think, THANKS")!!!!!

DIY Little Girls Leg Warmers (not leggings;)

Leg warmers are cute on more than just babies too. Here are a few examples of them on bigger girls:)

I have people ask me all the time where I got London's Leg Warmers and when I say that I made them they give me the, "I'm never going to do that" look. BUT they are so EASY to make so I thought that maybe you would like to know how. So here is a Tutorial for ya:)

1: Buy Long Socks. I have found that Target has the best ones, they sell 3 pair for $6.00:)
2: Cut the foot off, then cut between the heel and toe of the foot and keep the MIDDLE PORTION!
3. Take the middle portion and make a cuff by folding it in half so the right side is showing.
4: Slip the cuff onto the bottom of sock so the raw edges all line up5: All the raw edges should line up now.
6. Do this to both of them.
7. Sew cuff and sock together, you will be able to go all the way around the sock. If you get stuck then take the sock of the sewing machine and readjust then finish the last few inches.
This is your finished product:)
I don't have London wearing them because I gave these away but here is a pic of a different pair that I made for her pictures. Once your little one gets bigger the leggings don't have to go all the way to there feet. For bigger girls they can go to mid calf and it's really cute.

If you have any questions let me know. I hope I explained it well, sorry if it's confusing. Let me know if you made some and it worked for ya:)

Some Days

There are some days when being a mom is wonderful and I think "I have the best life EVER!!!!!" Those are the days when I am doing a great job at being a mommy, I'm patient, loving, patient, fun, outgoing, patient, energetic, oh and did I say patient. These are the days where everything that your little peeps do is just so CUTE and you want to eat them every other second. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those days!!!!!!!!!

Then there are days like today, not much like those wonderful days, nope not much like them at all. On days like today I have to say, "I Love You" all day long to remind myself that I really do. On days like today when my little mutt says, "Mommy I'm done poopin" I think in my most winey voice, "YOU DO IT, I don't want to wipe your bum again!!!!! On days like today my kids are lucky if they ever change out of their PJ's. On days like today when my little guys is VERY active I don't think it's cute like I usually do, in fact I want to tie him to a chair. On days like today I think, "A job would be really great to escape to." These are the days when both my babies find just about everything imaginable to choke on.

BUT then there is that moment that my little Jack comes up to me with a picture in his hands and says in his most excited voice, "Look at my picture mom, it's a making machine and makes claws to claw monsters." I sit there for a moment wondering how disturbed he may be because all he ever talk about is monsters and how he kills them all the time but it's just for a moment because in all reality I don't care. I know that I have the bestest, cutest, children in the world and I LOVE THEM (Yes I know I'm a little bias;)!!!! Even when I don't "like" them I still LOVE them. I know that my day probably won't change all that much but I also know that I have tomorrow and I'll just hope for a WONDERFUL day then:)

Escorted by Pee

I was in bed and heard Jack start to whimper. I went into his room and asked him what was wrong. With a very sad little frown on his face he said in his scratchy I just woke up voice, "I just peed myself." Could there be a cutter way to say I peed my pants, I think not.

You wouldn't think that this was the moment that made my day but it was. These are the moments that I live for, the moment where I share a little moment of love. These are the moments that make up who I am. These are the moments that remind me of what REALLY matters in this life, and these are the moments that keep me grounded and humble. Yes I, Lindsey Kay Thatcher Smith can clean up pee and poo any day of the week as long as I get to steel a short, tender, individual moment with my little one. Because these days I get very few of these, and I'll take them however I can even if there escorted by pee:) I LOVE you JACK!!!!!!!
