Just an Update

Jack: "Mom when I was a big boy I used to ride a motorcycle"

Jack: "When I was a big boy I would go to the movies with you mom"

Jack: " When I was a big boy mommy I married you:)"

Apparently Jack has been reincarnated:)

I have a few pics that I want to post and that's about it:)

Miss london and that little tongue that she is so aware of:)
This is at the Dinosaur Museum before the movie started. Very long movie that I think only BIG kids like!
Dane has wondered onto the neighbors porch. This is the neighbor that I pulled his flowers out. Notice the purple flowers, I put them there;)
Dane LOVES his daddy!!
Riley Walked out onto the porch after work and this is Dane giving his very best LOVE to daddy:)
I got all of these for.............FREE!!! I have even more!!! I am sworn to secrecy but I just have to say THANK YOU REA!!!!
At the Dinosaur Museum, Jack is so CUTE!!
This shark was scary!
Dane took everything out of the basket then inserted himself. Very CUTE!!!
This is after the Dinosaur Museum. This is my new BFF Jamie!!!! That's her at the end. It's so nice to hang out with her, she is so laid back!!! I think she is like one of the best moms I have ever met and she has patience that I hope to maybe get a tiny bit of myself. This ice cream shop is right next to the museum and all kids under 4 get a free ice cream cone and over 4 years old its a quarter and it's yummy. PERFECT!!!

That Has Lindsey Written ALL Over It!!!

Ok so we all know I'm a little special, I just came this way:). Here

is my SPECIAL story.

Last week our bishop encouraged us to do secret service for someone.

Me being the practically perfect person in every way obeyed and set out to

do that special secret service.

I found my lucky person within a few days and boy was he lucky to have

me pick him:). It was my very nice neighbor Todd. Todd is my single

neighbor that works a lot that obviously needed a hand. His flower bed was

infested in weeds, I knew that if he had the time he would have weeded

but from my observation I could tell that his schedule did not allow for such things.

One evening last week Jack and I went to town on his flower beds,

there were a TON of weeds. Finely we finished and I went inside

feeling full of pride for doing my good deed.

Well last night all the scouts and scout leaders were at Todd’s house

passing of some badges. We were outside playing in the park enjoying

the cool evening. I then hear Todd talking about his flower beds, at

the sound of this I get giddy and fill with delightful pride. Then I

hear MORE, this "more" was not good.

Todd says "Ya, some nice person pulled out all my flowers.". At the

sound of this I WANTED TO DIE!!!!!!!! I was about to just turn and go

inside but me being Lindsey K Thatcher Smith I could not walk away without

fessing up. I confess my SPECIALNESS and everyone laughed and laughed

and laughed. At this point Riley comes out, discovers what was

going on and says, "That has Lindsey written all over it, your so cute

Lin."

I came to find out that my nice neighbor had planted his wild

flower seeds in March and thought that they just weren't going to

grow. When they finely bloomed about two weeks ago, Todd was pleased.

Little did Todd know that his practical perfect in every way neighbor

was about to toss them out with the trash.

I must give credit to Todd, he was so nice and even joked about it

saying, "That's what I get for trying to be domestic." He's right there, nobody pants wild flower seeds in their tiny flower bed, right?

I guess I leaned my lesson, no more special secret service projects in the near future for me!

Here are a few pics from the summer, these are for my Kar Kar in lonely for you in Layton;)

This was on our way to Jackson Hole Lake!!! We stopped to let the kids have a break in the park.

We went to the Sea Life Aquarium and Jack loved it. We went with my new friend Jamie!!! We all LOVE Jamie and her 3 girls!!
This is at my new BFFs house. Her daughter had a b-day party and we went. Dane and London LOVED the swimming pool filled with balls. They literally played in there the whole time!
This is a morning ritual
They both love to have their blankets with them while they cuddle. Dane is always to busy playing in the puddles created by the sprinklers:)

White Trash Pool and Stinky Breath

Here at the Smith home we have no fear of embracing the White Trash side. In fact I kinda relish in it, it's one of those things that just feel so good every once in a while. Well today was one of those wonderful, glorious, white trash inspired days. We have a little sand box that we built on the side of our house and well we turned it into a pool today. The kids were still in there cloths and when the sand box accidentally filled up with water I couldn't think of a more fun thing than getting dirty and embracing that wonderful white trash in me. So here are the kidos in their new found pool, they LOVED IT!!!! And so did I!!!

The other morning Jack climbed into bed with me. I started talking to him and he started dry heaving, like he was really going to throw up. I told him to go to the bathroom if he was going to puke and he said, "It's...............just..................that your............breath," gasp, cough, dry heave, "it's..............so................STINKY!!!" I'm so glad that I have my little monster to tell me the cold, hard, stinky facts. Thanks Jack!

My Clever Little Jack

There are days that Jack doesn't want to eat his breakfast but then wants to eat all day so I being the mean mom that I am have made a rule that when he doesn't eat breakfast he can't eat till lunch time. Well today was one of those days. This is where my clever little man shows up. I come into the kitchen at around 10 and Jack says "Mom look at this clock," this would be the clock on the wall that doesn't have a face plate so you can move the dials with your fingers. So I look at the clock and it says 11:55. as I'm trying to to figure out what time it really is Jack continues to explain his interest in the clock. "it's now time for me to eat lunch, you see this clock mom?" I couldn't help laugh at his cute self, I mean how devious could he be?;) He got p on the chair and changed those hands himself. I thought he was so cute and clever that I kinda wanted to give him some food but instead he went to time out for trying to manipulate the situation. So even though he got into trouble I really was kinda proud of him for using his head. What a mutt he is, oh I just LOVE this mutt!!!

No Touchy!!!

The other day we were driving in the car on our way home from church and Jack was telling us how Primary was. This is what our conversation was.

Jack: "Mom, Dad, I made some new friends, they are girls and they are my girlfriends."
Me: "Oh really?"
He said this next line like he was just he was telling me his favorite color, it was just matter of fact.
Jack: " Ya, tI old them they can't touch my penis."

And that was it. Riley and I couldn't stop laughing. I wish I could have been there and seen the look on the teachers face, I can only imagine what she must have been thinking. Can you tell that we have been teaching him about good and bad touch? So if you are ever told that you may not touch, just consider yourself warned, lol:) I JUST LOVE THAT JACK!!!!
