Weekend in Logan, and Baby Update

Last week I was sick, (pun indented) and tired of good old Eagle Mountain so I left for Logan. Jack was in heaven with all of his cousins. They have a love/hate relationship that is unlike any other. They can’t get enough of each other but then all at once they have had way too much of each other. I have a few pics of the good times we had.
Carson, Brinlee and Jack watching Scooby Doo on Paul's lap top. When we go to Logan we turn into white trash and Jack is dressed like this most of the time...so I guess we could say that he just usually isn't dressed at all, he loves it.

Aunt MaRea (Rea) cutting Jacks hair. He actually likes getting his hair cut, lucky me. We call this smile the "Happy Face." When he is being naughty and he wants something we tell him he has to have a happy face if he wants us to understand him. More than anything we just want to see his fake smile, so funny.
While we were in Logan Grandam had another fall, a bad one. In fact 2 year ago she broke her ankle so bad that she had to have surgery. Unfortunately she broke the same ankle again, just below the first break. This time the break was a good one and she doesn't even need a cast so we lucked out. But this picture was taken amidst all the commotion. Jack wanted to sit in his chair so I put him up there and went back to helping my mom. Well lets just say it's not an easy place to call asleep so he was REALLY tired.

28 WEEKS
We went to have another ultra sound,(we have one every 4 weeks) and thing are GREAT!! Both my little girl and boy and head down, they can flip all the way up to 32 weeks but that's unlikely. If they stay that way then we will be able to have them vaginally for sure!! Pray for them to stay put. Also they are big babies, in fact individually they are bigger than a singleton. My little girl is 2.10 pounds and my little man is 2.5 pounds. In twin pregnancy's they start to make you get ultra sounds every 2-3 weeks but the Dr. said that we can still come every 4 weeks because things look so good. We also got to see our little man really well, he is so cute! We are so lucky and blessed. Thanks for all your love and support!

DID I JUST PEE MY PANTS....Um yep!

Look at that, 26 weeks. I think I owe some pictures to these little babies so that one day I can use them as tools of guilt. So I am forewarning you that this post is not going to be uplifting, in fact it will be quite the opposite. I think it’s better than someone whining to your face…right? But it will include embarrassing stories and admissions that no woman in her right mind would own up to. So if you don’t want to here a big whine fest I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t either, but here it comes. For posterities sake….ya that sounds good.

So let’s get down to business, PEEING MY PANTS. It’s not like I just peed my pants in the privacy of my own home, oh no. It was in front of Riley’s entire family. I was sitting around with my sister in laws just chatting away when I decided that it would be a good time to choke on a Jolly Rancher. Now this wasn’t just any little cough, it was a full on attack. As I was choking I suddenly realized I had absolutely NO CONTROL over my bladder. I crossed my legs, I said a “Please Bless”, but I knew it was over before it even began. I lost control and let it just run its course, why the hell not. Once the Jolly Rancher, (damn that Jolly Rancher) flew across the table onto my plate it was time to assess the damage. I stood up and announced “Did I just pee my pants……uh yep.” That was when the laughter came. All of us couldn’t stop laughing. If you know me it’s going to take a little bit more than pee to completely humiliate me. I just stood there for a while not knowing exactly what to do. Riley was in the other room, (might I add not at all surprised) just laying there. I finely had a LITTLE freak out. Let’s just say that I had to go commando for an hour or so, so weird.

MY BACK. For all you women who have terrible pregnancies I commend you for having a second child, I really don’t know if I would. I have NEVER in my life had back pain quite like this. I walk around like a decrepit old man who is just wishing to die. Yes I know I am SOOO pathetic. If any of you know what I am talking about please tell me what I can do about it, I go to the Dr. on Monday and I know she will give me Drugs but if you have any suggestions before then PLEASE inform me.

My brain is fried. I was in the shower and washed and conditioned my hair then was getting ready to wash my body. Next thing I knew my hair was lathered up but my body was not. I washed my hair with my body soap, oops!

This negative post may have something to do with the fact that I am sick, that just makes everything worse. I have Influenza A, all I have to say is YOU DON’T WANT THIS BUG!!! I have been in bed for little over a week. Anyhoo, I just wanted to get my negativeness all out without getting those sympathizing/irritating looks from people because I know there is nothing worse than a Negative Nelly. Sorry you’re my sounding board but it felt good.

I know what you’re all thinking, “girl your only 26 weeks Prego,” I know right! But you try telling that to my bladder, back and brain and don’t be surprised if they tell you were to go and how to get there because as far as they are concerned I’m over due.

Feeling Used and Abused

Okay. We are sick of the government and what their idiotic decisions on our behalf have come to. After writing congressmen locally and nationally we still don't feel like anythings is being done to protect our country's principles and standards. What can we do? "Nothing," is the only reply we here. So answer these questions. If at least 7 of the 9 represent your feelings and beliefs, then send your picture to wesurroundthem@gmail.com . So, yes or no? Is this who I am? Is this what I believe? Because I believe you and I agree on most of these. We believe these things, and there are more with us than we think!! Hopefully this is a small step to saving our country's freedom. If you think that we are crazy at least wait till you read these statements, cause if you agree with them than you disagree with what is happening congress. This is a "tag" as bloggers call it. So pass it on!!
The Riley Smith Family
1) Yes or no: Do you believe America is a good place, that we've lost our way over the years, that we have done bad things but generally speaking we tried hard. We try to make amends. We have tried to do the right thing. Just like everybody else, we fail from time to time and we have truly lost our way in the last 20 years. But gosh, if you look at America, she's good and our founders were good and our founding documents are good. We've just strayed too far away from them. Yes or no.
2) Yes or no: I believe in God. I may not go to the same church or synagogue or mosque as you, but I believe in God and he is the center of my life, and God does not tell people to behead others or to persecute others that see God in a different way. As long as that god is not telling them to persecute others.
Yes or no.
3) Yes or no: It is my responsibility to try to be better and a more honest person than I was yesterday. Sometimes I fail, I'll make mistakes, but it's my main mission to be better than I was personally than I was yesterday.
4) Yes or no: The family is sacred. I and my spouse are the ultimate authority under God when it comes to my family. I raise my family, and that comes with a grave responsibility. If I fail, I answer to God.
5) Yes or no: If you break the law, you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6) Yes or no: I have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but that is not a guarantee of equal results.
7) Yes or no: I work hard for what I have, and I will share it with others that I choose when I choose, should I choose. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8) It is not un-American for anyone to disagree with my opinion, but my opinion or others' opinions may be anti-American. Anti-American rhetoric would be anything that is destructive to the Constitution and our country as our founders understood it.
9) And the last one is the government works for me. The government answers to me. I do not answer to the government.
Send your photo to wesurroundthem@gmail.com if at least 7 of these statements represent you. And pass it on!!

It's a BOY and a GIRL!!!

Today we were lucky enough to find out that we are having two babies that are growing healthy and strong. They are the same size, which is good and they are both the size of a singleton, (Just one baby at a time) that means that they are quite big. It's a BOY and a GIRL!!!!! We are so excited to get one of each. Both of them were very obvious once they decided that they weren't going to be shy. Our little man was much more open about it than his sister, I think that I already see the modest side of her coming out. We were both so excited because I figured if I was going to bring two of them at once then I should get at least one girl and I guess that Lord agreed. In fact when we found out that we were having twins I turned to the doctor and said, "It's a boy and girl, I just know it." Who knew that a women's intuition really exists, well I am living proof that it does. Sometimes mommy's just know things.

The ultrasound was so much fun because we got to see them again. I think I could sit there all day and just watch the two of them interact. They really do respond to each other, when one moves the other then responds. I guess they really don't have a choice because there is absolutely no room in there for them, poor little buggers. They were so cute though, I can't wait to meet them. We are SOOOOOOOO happy that we have these little ones coming to our home and that they are growing so well, we feel so blessed.

One of these days I will get the guts to show off my HUGE belly, but not today.

If any of you have twins or know someone that has twins I am SO up for advice, bring it on.

No I'm Not Due Next Month!

Every time someone asks me how far along I am I want to lie. I really don't want to tell them the whole story but I don't want them to think I'm a huge monster either. Just today a lady asked how far along I was and when I said 15 weeks she said, "Oh, wow." I mean what do ya say to that, "Oh and by the way I am having two babies so really I'm twice the size as I should be." So what do ya think about a little white lie?
Riley and I are so excited about these little people that are on their way to our home. Jack doesn't really get it but when he wakes up in the morning I ask him what he dreamt about and he will say, "Baby sister, tractor, grandma." Also every time he jumps on me he'll say, "Oh, babies. Sorry mama." I think he's excited too.
I was wondering if anybody has any cream that they used for stretch marks that really helped. I know that it's really all genetics but still a girl can try right.

My Knight in Shining Armor

I had a crush on Riley for so long (like years) and the big bloke never even knew I existed. Finley our junior year he got the idea that I was something special. When we broke up a year later my mom wrote a letter to Riley thanking him for being my night in shining armor. You see my junior year I felt like I was at the bottom of a deep, dark, hole, it was a really hard time in my life. That is when my knight showed up and rescued me. I know it seams crazy that in High School a boy can be exactly what you need but he was. Then when Riley came home from his mission once again he found me at the bottom of that same hopeless hole. Without even knowing it he saved me again, my knight always shows up at the perfect time. Since we have been married most of the time I am just the every day girl and Riley is your every day guy but the second I start to sink my personal night in shining armor shows up. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep, I was feeling like the whole world was on top of my shoulders, (crazy pregnant self). When I told Riley how I was feeling my noble knight returned. He cradled me in his arms and sang a lullaby that we used to sing to Jack when he was fussy, all 3 verses. I am the luckiest women in the world. I simply adore you Riley.

TWINS

Well today we found out that for sure there are only twins in there. Also we are almost sure that they are fraternal twins. I am now excited, still scared but at lest now I can sleep at night. I have decided that the Lords plan is so much bigger than me, his mission for these little babies is more important than the short term. My job is to prepare them for there mission and ya know what I can do that. With the Lords help I can do all things, even this. Thanks for all your support, it really does help so much.
