Head Full of Fluff

Today Jack, Lodon, Dane and myself went to Discovery Gateway. We met up with MaRea, Avery and Kaden. It was so cute because Kaden came running in saying "Wheres Jack, where's Jack!!" Jack came calling with his arms wide open, "I'm right here Kaden!!!" Then he hugged Kaden until Kade said, "Ok, Ok Jack!" he was done with the hug;) Jack and Kade had such a good time running around together and I had a WONDERFUL time chatting with MaRea and feeling like an adult again.

Well once we were finished we walked back out to the van and loaded everyone back into the car. It was SO COLD at this point so I was trying to move thing along as fast as I could. I finely get everyone in the van and we were off and onto the highway. I was chewing on some ice when I see a bouncing little head move in my direction. I was so confused!!! What the tar was going on? Next thing I know Jack is right next to me saying, "Mom, can I have some of your ice?" I was going about 75 now and I totally freaked out. I'm thinking, "Why is he out of his seat, who did this awful thing?" Then it dawned on me that it was I, my head was full of fluff and no brains AT ALL!!!! I quickly sent him back to his seat,(without the ice) and told him to not move a muscle. I was scared spit-less! Needless to say we pulled of the highway, ( the twins had finely fallen asleep, that was about to end) and got him back into his car seat.

There are times when my head DOES NOT WORK!!! Today was one of those times:) People always say that when your pregnant your brain fails you and it's VERY true. But I must say that my brain now in contrast to my 1st pregnancy brain losses by MILES!!! I would take 1st pregnant brain over this old thing any day of the week! I am hoping that one day it will work again to it's full capacity and I am aware that this hope is quite delusional but I will always continue to hope for a better tomorrow:)

Mothers

"Managing a home and family is no less demanding or time consuming than running a large corporation or pursing any other career. The most successful homes are run by mothers who take their careers as seriously as any top executive. However, instead of dealing with making a product profitable, we deal with making profit of human lives." Linda J. Eyre

I am reading this book called "A Joyful Mother of Children." I am loving it and I highly recommend it, thanks Hannah:)

I think that being a mother is the hardest job I have ever had and it is more important than anything that I have ever done in my life. Yes there are those moments when I think, "What was I thinking?" Then my little boy comes up to me and says, "Mom your a good mom" and I realize that what I am doing is more than just being a mom it's raising a generation of individuals that are our future and that will shape society and that is more important than anything that one could EVER do.

So here are to all you mothers out there that second guess yourselves. You are doing a more important job than any top executive of any prestigious corporation. Your doing the Lords work, a work that nobody but MOTHERS can do.

The WORST Mother In The WORLD Award Goes to....................ME!!!!

About a month ago we were at grandmas house and my sweet little Dane rolled off the couch. It was a short fall and he landed on carpet so he was mostly scared and not hurt. About 3 weeks later while Riley and the kids were playing in the loft Dane decided to continue rolling and he rolled down the stair. This was VERY tragic and very sad but once again there were no bumps or bruises, I guess all that extra fluff comes in handy once in a while. Do ya think that I should be learning something along the way? I am REALLY SLOW!!! Well Dane rolled off the bed last night and it was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY sad. But once again there were no bumps, bruises or ouchies. We just loved him up till he stopped crying, (which by the way wasn't very long at all, this little mutt is a tank.)

Well this morning I was dressing both London and Dane on my bed again, you would think that I would learn!!! But I did take extra precautions, I promises!!!! I had a Bumbo on the bed and while I was dressing the one I would have the other in the Bumbo. I thought I was brilliant....... not so much. I had finished dressing Dane and was talking to him when I realized I hadn't seen Jack for a few minutes which in itself could be devastating so I turned around for 2 SECONDS to call for him when I heard THUMP. I bet you can guess what happened. Little, OK not little but big Dane rolled off my bed. In most homes this wouldn't be as tragic but my bed is pretty high up and we have hard wood floors in our room so it is quite tragic. This time around Danes fluff didn't do him any good. Instantly his forehead had a HUGE black and blue bump on it. I was hysterical and so was Dane. I have never felt that much remorse, sadness and FEAR all at one time. He was crying and he was acting really weird so I freaked out. I called 911 and told them my story. The guy on the other line I'm sure was thinking I was mentally retarded. He was asking me all these questions and I was little to no help at all. He asked me, "Is he breathing, Is he conscious, Is he throwing up? " Then he asked me how far he fell and I said, "Oh about 5 feet." Then I thought, "Lindsey your such a dip shit. 5 feet, that's about as tall as Lindy. Your bed is NOT 5 feet up!" I'm sure he was thinking, "Yep she's retarded, if this kid ends up normal after this experience he still has no chance."

Well the ambulance came and all 5 guys come running into my house, Eagle Mt must be a really boring place to be a Fire Fighter Paramedic. They said Dane was fine and that I should take him to his Dr just to be sure and have him checked out. At this point I was just a little hysterical. So we did and Dane is fine. This little boy will survive this mom of his if it's the last thing he does. I really should be walking around with a CAUTION sign on my forehead. Poor little guy:(

After the whole experience Riley said "OK Lin Dane is grounded from the bed. No matter how hard he begs he can't get up there." This was Riley's SWEET way of saying, "Lindsey stop being a dip shit and putting our kids on the bed." Bless his sweet heart. Well I have leaned my lesson, NO KIDS ON ANYTHING THEY COULD FALL OFF OF, OR ELSE!!!!

Shopping Trip from BEEEEEP

I will try to leave out as many explicits as possible because there were a lot of them today, sorry still working on that one;)

I had to do some last minuet shopping for Christmas so I got all 3 kiddos saddled up and out the door. 1st store went OK, only one potty break and had to make two bottles for the twins, no prob. 2nd store wasn't so nice to me, and of course it was Wal Mart.

I get everyone out of the car and into my two shopping carts and we were off. Got the 1st few things of my list and my only problem was that Jack was running around so I buckled him in the cart. Then Jack said he needed to go potty again. I thought that he was being the sneaky little man that he can be and was just trying to get out of being buckled into the seat. So I said that we weren't going back and that if he needed to pee he had to hold it. Well at this point he was holding "It" so I knew he REALLY needed to pee. So we went back to the potty.

Once inside I undid his pants and belt and sent him off to go potty. I then decided that I should address my second and third problem, London and Dane. They were SCREAMING! I could smell that one of them was poopy so I went to Dane 1st, yep we had a winner. I took him out of his seat and there was POO EVERYWHERE!!!!! I mean from his upper back all the way down to his thighs. FYI I had just washed out both of their car seats, they were sparkling like new. I started to undo his pants and take off his diaper and of course I got poo on me, not just on my hand but on my New, Beautiful, Wonderful, WHITE Patagonia Jacket. I know I was asking for it, who buys a white jacket when they have 3 kids? That's right folks this special spirit right here and it was all over my sleeve. Dane was now in hysterics, gnashing off teeth mode so I proceeded to change his bum. Poor little man had the sorest bum ever, like he was bleeding. I had already changed his diaper 3 times at this point so I thought he would be fine, boy was I wrong.

While changing his bum I look around to see what Jack was up to. No worries folks he was just walking around with his pants and underwear around his ankles, his little bum free as a bird, playing in the soap and flushing every toilet in the bathroom. People were staring at us with "That Look" and not even stopping to help. Come on people, couldn't they see that I was about to loose it any minuet. Oh I forgot to mention that London is still SCREAMING.

I finish up with Dane, put him back in his nasty cloths, back in his nasty seat and look around for Jack again. Jack still had his pants around his ankles and was playing with the hand dryer thing. I quickly pulled up his pants and buckled him back into his seat, while he yelled, "No mom, not back in the buckle, don't beat me." I was really getting stares now so I wanted to get out of there ASAP. I went over to London and tried to see what her problem was. I smelt her bum and she was poopy too, I mean can a women get a break. I couldn't go through all of that again at Wal Mart so we headed to the check out line. Al this point I was D.O.N.E, DONE!

Of course all the lines are way backed up and I get behind a retard that doesn't happen to notice that I have 3 SCREAMING children and he just putts along taking his sweet old time. I pictured myself pouncing on him like a Lion would a zebra, I wanted him dead. As I wait for the moron I looked over at the magazines and saw one with the title, "101 ways to look stylish." I think to myself, "Look stylish, are you serious? Who in the hell cares about looking stylish. I just want to get home for the love of Pete without killing or beheading someone." The cash register women for sure thought I was evil and I deserved it. I glared at her (she was lucky she didn't get more than that, I was thinking some really awful things I wanted to say to her)for not putting all my stuff in bags, but isn't that her job. She was Moron #2 of the day.

We made it home, we survived. After changing London and then Dane again I laid on the floor and actually fell asleep, it was only for about 2 min but it was a glorious 2 min. The lesson I learned on my shopping trip today was................................... I guess I didn't really lean anything except that shopping can really suck sometimes!

8 months

DANE
Little monster weighs 23 1/2 lb.
31 Inches Long
I call Dane my side kick because he literally kicks it on his side. Because he isn't sitting up yet he spends his time on his side, so cute.
Dane is a snuggler, can't get enough of his yummy cheeks and he lets me kiss him as much as I want:)!!!
Danes two bottom teeth came in two night ago, poor guy.
Gets on all four once in a while, doesn't spend too much time there. Can't blame the little chunk, that's a lot of weight to support;)
When Dane smiles it's not just his mouth, it's his whole face. It's so sweet that for sure it would even make the Grinch smile:)
Rolls everywhere. He will roll over to London and steel her toy or pull the flower off her head or just stare at her. I can tell that these two are going to be good Friends.
Mr. Dane talks all the time.
Can't imagine what this life would be without my SWEET little Dane!
LONDON
London is 18lb.
27in. long
London got her 1st bottom tooth about a week ago and is working on her second bottom tooth right now.
Doesn't say much but when she does it's very loud. London basically screams when she is happy.
When London cries she rolls her tong like she is ready to start speaking in tongs, it's quiet and very sad.
You can tell that London is a thinker, she look around at things with wide eyes and is always taking in her surroundings.
Poor girl still has no hair, well very little hair.
When Riley and Jack play and they are being silly and screaming she will scream along with them. It's like she feels like she needs to be a part of it.
Since she got her 1st tooth she always is feeling it with her tong.
When her daddy walks in the room her face lights up and she starts to kick her little feet.
London is ready to crawl. She is on all four rocking back and forth all the time.
This little girl is so wonderful, I really can't get enough of her sweet little spirit and her yummy dimples.
These two are such GOOD babies, I really am so lucky. I think two good babies has got to be better than one really bad baby. We are so lucky to have them!
JACK
Is up to his old tricks and I'm loving it. Jack is into being a super hero and he is always rescuing anyone who stands in need. His little brother and sister get saved on a regular basis. Whenever there is something that they could choke on he takes it away and brings it to us. He really has saved them more than once. I couldn't have asked for a better big brother for the twins, he hasn't had a jealous moment yet. He says to the babies, "Dane, London you never put toys in your mouth cause it dangerous." He talks to them like they really know what he is saying.
This Christmas has been so much fun because Jack gets it and he is so excited about Santa.
Jack has a few pairs of gwubs (gloves) and he wears them everywhere. In the pic of him, London and Dane you will see that he is wearing them. Doesn't matter if we can only find one he will still wear it. He looks like Michael Jackson a lot of the time.
Jack is a very ACTIVE little boy. When we go to the store people will say, You sure have your hands full, your little boy has a lot of energy." That was the nice way of them saying, "That little man is CRAZY!" Jack is a really good little boy but he is definitely his age. I don't know what people are talking about terrible twos, the twos were a breeze, it's the threes that are killer.
All in all me and Riley can't seam to get enough of this little man. Last night Riley and I were going to bed and we stopped and stared at Jack, (he sleeps on the floor of our bedroom because the other two wake him up if they are in his room, vise versa) We almost woke him us so we could just hold him and kiss him and tell him how much we LOVE him. Jack is WONDERFUL!!!
Sorry about the long post but I needed to get all of this down. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
